Discover the most stressful aspects of bathroom remodeling and how to avoid them by reading our quick guide.
We know what you’re thinking — the actual renovation is the most stressful aspect of bathroom remodeling. And if you’re DIYing it yourself, it will absolutely be one of the most stressful parts. Putting that aside, there are more sections and features that you have to look into that cause just as much or more stress than doing the actual labor. And what are those aspects? Keep reading to find out!
Do any of these things stress you out?
Budget
Money is always a stressful part of any remodel or upgrade. Why? Because we don’t want to spend any, and we want to save as much money as possible. Not only are you spending money on the supplies and materials needed to complete the project, but you’re most likely also spending money on contractors or equipment. Before you know it, you’re spending thousands of dollars on your bathroom remodel. Luckily, you’ll get most of it back on the resale value; however, you want to ensure you’re not wasting any money. Therefore, you should always create your budget and allocate a set cost for each section. If you work with Valor Home Services, we’ll take your budget and then give you a breakdown of each section — labor, materials, travel costs, etc.
Design
Not all of us are designers. When you add plumbing and electricity, then it seems even more unachievable. If you’re not changing the layout of your bathroom, then you may have an easier time measuring and designing the small changes you plan on doing — vanity, flooring, toilet, etc. However, if you want to move any features around, like plumbing or electricity, you’re going to need to speak to a contractor and designer to learn what will work with your bathroom. If you choose our team of bathroom remodelers, we have a designer on hand ready to speak to you about your project.
Time Schedule
Most homeowners are busy with their lives. From work to taking care of children, you may find it difficult or concerning to locate the time for anything, let alone a bathroom remodel. Plus, when you’re doing the renovation on your own, you may find yourself spending weeks or months trying to finish the project. And then, if you go the contractor route, you may have a hard time finding a trustworthy contractor who isn’t already booked months out, leaving you with sketchy contractors who may not even finish the job. That is why we recommend going straight to a dependable, trustworthy source, even if they are booked out. At Valor Home Services, we care about your time. We’ll even schedule and work on your project as best as possible based on your availability. And once the project starts, it takes us about 11 days or less to finish it.
Contractors
Let’s see a show of hands. How many of you have experienced some type of issue with past contractors? Did they ghost you? Did they raise their prices without warning? Did they ever not communicate properly? Did they just provide terrible work overall? If any of these things have ever happened to you, we understand why you wouldn’t want to work with any more contractors. But we’re here to let you know that all of us aren’t like that. Team Valor prides itself on putting your needs and wants above our own. And we demonstrate that from the moment you call us. Plus, it is our main goal to provide you with a stress-free experience from the beginning. If that is what you like to hear, call our team today. We would love to discuss your project in more detail.
